The Role
We are seeking an experienced FX Liquidity Manager with a strong background in electronic foreign exchange (e-FX) markets to join our dynamic trading team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of liquidity across our e-FX platforms, ensuring optimal execution, pricing, and risk management for both institutional clients and internal trading desks. This role demands a deep understanding of FX market structure, liquidity providers, and e-trading technologies to deliver consistent and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liquidity Management: Manage and optimize liquidity across multiple e-FX platforms, ensuring seamless integration and efficient order routing. Monitor and assess liquidity providers' performance, making adjustments to enhance pricing and execution quality.
* Market Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously track FX market trends, volatility, and liquidity conditions to anticipate changes and adjust liquidity strategies accordingly. Analyze market data to ensure competitive and consistent pricing.
* Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with liquidity providers, market makers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient liquidity sources.
* Execution & Pricing Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to optimize FX execution, including managing the internal matching of orders and ensuring best execution for clients. Collaborate with the trading team to enhance pricing algorithms and trading models.
* Technology & System Optimization: Work closely with technology teams to implement and upgrade e-FX trading systems, ensuring that platforms are robust, fast, and reliable. Oversee API integrations and collaborate on the development of algorithmic trading tools.
* Risk Management: Implement and monitor risk controls related to liquidity management, ensuring compliance with internal risk policies and external regulatory requirements. Work with risk and compliance teams to ensure that liquidity strategies are in line with company guidelines.
* Reporting & Analytics: Provide detailed reporting on liquidity performance, including metrics on execution quality, spread analysis, and provider performance. Prepare regular reports for senior management.
* Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact liquidity provision and e-FX trading. Participate in industry forums and conferences to stay ahead of market trends.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in e-FX trading or liquidity management, preferably within a financial institution or e-trading firm. Experience with FX market structure, electronic trading platforms, and liquidity aggregation systems is essential.
* Technical Skills: Strong understanding of e-FX technology, including liquidity aggregation platforms (e.g., FlexTrade, Integral, or 360T), trading algorithms, and FIX protocol. Proficiency in data analysis and using market data feeds to optimize liquidity management.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FX products, market-making strategies, execution venues, and risk management techniques in the e-FX environment. Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
* Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data and use it to drive decision-making. Ability to perform in-depth analysis on liquidity performance and optimize pricing.
* Communication Skills:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Capable of clearly presenting complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
