A wonderful family is seeking an experienced Laundress to assist them in their beautiful family home in Westminster. Working alongside another full-time housekeeper, the ideal candidate will have an exceptional eye for detail, high standards, and a focus on all laundry duties, as well as providing support with housekeeping tasks as required. The role will primarily involve laundry management, including washing, drying, folding, and organising clothes with a meticulous approach to fabric care. You will also be responsible for high-quality ironing of clothes, bed linens, and other household fabrics. Additionally, wardrobe management will be required, assisting with organising and maintaining the family's wardrobes, ensuring clothing is properly cared for and neatly arranged. There may also be times when you will assist with general housekeeping duties to ensure a well-maintained and tidy home environment alongside the other housekeepers. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a kind and caring attitude, personable, enthusiastic, energetic, and confident, with a positive approach to work. An eye for detail, especially when it comes to fabric care and garment management, is essential. Excellent communication skills are important, as you will need to work well with others in a household team. Longevity in prior roles is highly valued, and a background in the super yachting industry is desirable but not essential. The position is full-time, working five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00. There may be occasional flexibility required, so candidates should be open-minded and willing to help as needed. DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Management of all household laundry, including clothing, linens etc. Care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc. Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items Managing dry cleaning coming in and out of the property Wardrobe management; packing and unpacking for trips and holidays Daily cleaning of the property alongside other housekeepers as required Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the household Additional duties as required ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Prior laundress experience on a super yacht or within a private household Good knowledge of cleaning products and ability to care for high-end furnishings and fabrics Fluency in English & the eligibility to work in the UK Hardworking and dedicated High attention to detail Flexibility with hours and duties Trustworthy and reliable DBS check Excellent checkable references
