Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: GBP51K plus shift premium + pension, excellent overtime (OTE 60K plus)
Training: Available on various OEM equipment and qualifications
Shifts Available: 4 on 4 off Continentals, Days and Nights role
The Company:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our client, a large global business based in Birmingham established for over 50 years. Our client supplies a specialist product to some of the largest Civils companies, building companies, and governments.
This well-known global manufacturing group has recently acquired several large contracts. This is an excellent time to join a large manufacturing group with strong backing from a large American manufacturing group.

Overview of the Maintenance Engineer Role:
You will be working in a heavy industry environment on foundry equipment, furnaces, large conveyors, presses, overhead cranes, and more. The role involves carrying out reactive maintenance on production equipment and machines across all production facilities, with 70% reactive and 30% PPM driven tasks. You will be encouraged to contribute to the continuous improvement culture and take ownership of individual projects as you grow your career within the company.
Mechanical Duties:
* Working on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
* Replacing components like for like on large heavy industrial equipment
* Fault finding mechanically on all factory equipment
* Reading equipment drawings
* Following weekly and monthly PPM plans when required
The Candidate:
The Maintenance Engineer should be formally qualified in mechanical maintenance. Experience in heavy industry is preferred but not essential.
The Benefits:
Salary: GBP51,000 OTE 60K plus
