Overview
Due to expansion we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals living in their own home. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. You will require a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs.
Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered appropriately.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with home care practices is desirable.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
