The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Farm Manager to join a highly respected agricultural business at their breeder rearing farm in Maxey, Cambridgeshire. In this role, you will support the Farm Manager in maintaining high welfare and operational standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing ventilation, heating, lighting, feed, and water systems to ensure optimal conditions for bird welfare.
* Keeping accurate farm records, including data on birds, feed, and suppliers.
* Supervising and coordinating Farm Assistants to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Covering the Farm Manager during rest or holiday periods.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
This is a hands-on role, requiring strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to work independently when necessary.
Working Hours: 48 hours per week, 5 days from 7, with 6 days required as needed.

The Candidate:
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within poultry or agriculture.

* Good IT and organisational skills.
* A passion for maintaining high welfare and operational standards is essential.
The Package:
* Salary: £30,551 per annum.
* Accommodation Provided: 3-bedroom bungalow (Council tax & water included).
