The Role
The SDR Team Lead is responsible for leading and developing the SDR team, driving performance to meet and exceed targets. This role requires close collaboration with Sales Enablement, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure SDRs are equipped with the tools, training and resources they need to succeed. You will play a key role in optimising lead generation, enhancing lead qualification processes and fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop the SDR team to achieve individual and team targets.
* Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback and identify areas for growth.
* Foster a positive and motivational team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
* Drive SDR activity optimisation by implementing best practices in lead generation, outbound prospecting, and lead qualification.
* Collaborate closely with Sales Enablement to design and implement comprehensive training programs for SDRs.
* Encourage creativity and strategic thinking in outbound campaigns using channels such as emails, cold calls, videos, LinkedIn, and Digital Sales Rooms.
* Recruit and onboard top talent to build a high-performing team in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
* Support the implementation of the MEDDPICC sales methodology to align SDR efforts with larger organisational goals.
* Maintain a feedback loop with Marketing and Product teams to ensure continuous improvement in prospecting efforts and product knowledge.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Leadership and Management Experience: 2+ years managing a team with proven leadership abilities, including mentoring and coaching.
* Performance and Target Management: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue and performance goals in a sales-driven environment.
* Sales Tools Expertise: Proficient in using sales tools like Highspot, Salesloft, Cognism, and Sales Navigator to manage leads and track team performance.
* Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions to optimize SDR performance.
* Adaptability: Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Skills
* Sales Methodologies: Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales qualification methodologies.
* Recruitment and Onboarding: Experience in recruiting, training, and onboarding SDRs is a plus.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Ability to work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to improve SDR alignment and performance.
