Opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a busy Finance Team on a 3-6 month contract basis in Aberdeen. This role will see you assisting with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and supporting preparation for month-end. The ideal candidate will bring previous AP and finance administration experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Reviewing and accurately processing employee expense reports and vendor invoices.
* Performing regular bank and cash reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
* Preparing and issuing purchase orders, processing sales orders, and handling customer statements.
* Monitoring accounts, resolving discrepancies, and communicating effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
* Supporting with month-end preparation such as prepayments and accruals.
* Assisting with the production of financial reporting to support decision-making.
Applicants to this role require
* Previous experience working within a busy Finance Team, particularly within Accounts Payable processing.
* Strong knowledge of finance and accounting practices.
* Ability to learn and pick up new software systems.
* Effective time management skills, and ability to adapt to different situations.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
