We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our Buying Team at Holland & Barrett. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in retail buying, particularly in the food sector, to make a real impact in a market-leading, specialist retailer. As a Buyer - Food, you will lead the product management process, from conception to delivery, ensuring our products meet customer needs while aligning with our company objectives.

The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and Execute Buying Strategy: Own the buying strategy for your product area, sourcing and developing ranges that meet customer demands while driving business growth.
* Drive Category Performance: Regularly review category performance and market trends to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
* Supplier Management: Lead negotiations and joint business planning with key suppliers, ensuring alignment on margin, marketing support, and delivery performance.
* Promotion and Trade Planning: Develop and execute customer-focused promotional plans that drive sales growth, acting as the lead for supplier funding in your category.
* Range Reviews: Lead range reviews that focus on customer needs and business objectives, ensuring profitable product selection.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Own-Label Buying, Product Development, Supply Chain and Planning, Trade Planning, Marketing, and Digital teams to drive innovation, commercial success, and online customer engagement.
* Inventory Management: Understand stock levels, manage slow-moving inventory, and reduce overstock to optimize stock management.

Nuneaton Head Office (CV10 7RH) - Hybrid role with two days per week in-office.
The Person:
Key Requirements:
* Experience in Buying, Category Management or Account management, with a focus on Food.
* Negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of building strategic relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
* Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills to identify trends and optimize performance.
* A passion for delivering customer-centric solutions that drive business success.
* A strong interest in Food and Health Food and Wellness trends.
