M&E Commercial Manager
Salary: £120,000 - £135,000 + Package (Car Allowance + Travel Expenses + Pension +Healthcare + Discretionary Bonus)

We are representing one of the UK’s leading Contractors to source an M&E Commercial Manager. Our client has a history of delivering major commercial and mission critical projects for well-known industry clients. Alongside delivering hyperscale Data Centres, they’re specialists in delivering high quality Commercial, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical, Rail and Retail projects.
As a result of winning multiple projects, they are actively looking to recruit for their Senior Management Commercial team. This is a great opportunity to join their growing team in a management position as the projects are massive, work is being won and they’re growing at an amazing rate.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing multiple commercial teams across their projects (sector depending on influx of work) in the Commercial, Rail, Healthcare and Data Centre sectors.
2. Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including PQS, Main contractors and end users
3. Oversee commercial activities and prepare reports for Commercial Director.
4. Work closely with all departments including Operations, Estimating, Procurement and design to deliver profitable work.
5. The management and preparation, submission and agreement of Applications and Final Accounts.
6. Regularly review business processes and promote evolution of better working practices
7. The management of Sub-Contractor Interim Payments including site measure, Payment and Pay Less Notices and Final Accounts.
8. Liaise with the Operations team in the procurement of Sub-Contractor packages including financial checks, assessing commercial competitiveness and the preparation of the Sub-Contract documents.
9. Supporting the monitoring of the progress of live projects.
10. The preparation and submission of contractual notices and /or correspondence to both the Client and Sub-Contractors.
11. Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets.
12. The monitoring of costs across the division
13. Overseeing resource allocation and recruitment needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Have detailed M&E technical knowledge and an understanding of the construction proces
2. sBe contractually aware and knowledgeable
3. .Experience managing a team and nurturing junior staf
4. fHave good problem-solving skill
5. sHave the communication skills necessary for dealing with both clients and sub-contractors
6. .Be able to work independently and manage time effectively
7. .Ideally have JCT and NEC experienc
8. eExperience working within the commercial, and/or healthcare, laboratories, data centre and rail sector ideall
9. yExperience in a senior management commercial rol
10. eHave relationships with relevant supply chain including subcontractors and suppliers
11. .Have significant experience delivering multiple projects; to understand the fundamentals of managing multiple project teams
