The Energy Division provides safe, sustainable products and services for two core markets, oil and gas and renewables. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Digital Product Manager to lead our energy and energy transition efforts within the Energy Division, encompassing the Renewables product line (James Fisher Renewables) and our energy services product lines (ScanTech, Continental). This pivotal role includes managing a growing team of product managers, product owners, data scientists, and external contractors. The purpose of the role is to lead the digital transformation of our product and service delivery into energy markets globally. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of product owners, data scientists, and external contractors. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, including with technical owners of workstreams (i.e. cable monitoring, blade repair, etc.) Ensure alignment of team goals with overall company objectives and strategies Product Development: Translate high-level product concepts into actionable development plans focused on productisation/monetisation of those ideas in the context of their markets. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery via the New Product Development (NPD) process. Collaborate with the CDO and CTO to incorporate feedback and inputs into the product development process, as driven by the needs of the product line. Implement agile/dev ops methodologies to facilitate rapid development and iteration of digital products as appropriate to budget/time constraints. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the product development team and senior leadership within the product line, and the functional leads - CDO, CTO. Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business goals and customer needs. Communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders as part of an agile development framework. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and insights to inform product decisions and improvements by understanding available data elements and how those shape product outcomes. Ensure the integration of advanced data science techniques to enhance product functionality and user experience (UI/UX). Skills & Experience: PhD preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. A Masters degree plus solid experience is required. Experience in digital product management, with a focus on energy and/or renewables sectors. A proven track record of managing teams and delivering successful digital products. Knowledge of James Fisher operating environments is desirable. You will need: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Proficiency in applying agile and dev ops development methodologies and tools. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth understanding of the energy and renewables landscape. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Specialist Knowledge: Satellite communications will play a key role in the digital transformation of the Energy product lines due to their global footprint and is a necessary skill set for the role holder.
