We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Materials Engineer specialising in Metallurgy to join our expert team. Key Responsibilities: Graduate Materials Engineer Assist in preparing technical documentation for the design and production of components such as pipes and fittings required for pipeline and sea line construction. Support procurement and commercial departments by providing technical analysis during the bid phase and reviewing specifications for manufacturing. Collaborate on vendor evaluation, prequalification, bid assessments, and audits. Review supplier documentation to ensure compliance with client and international standards. Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations for the supply of line pipes and fittings. Assist in reviewing and validating manufacturing process qualifications and inspection plans. Work closely with project engineers and technical managers during proposals and project execution to identify and address specific requirements. Liaise with specialists in welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), and anticorrosion to ensure manufacturing processes meet critical project requirements and foster innovative solutions. Conduct inspection site surveys and coordinate material failure analyses. Maintain engagement with line pipe manufacturers to stay updated on advancements in technology and materials selection, optimizing quality and cost-efficiency. Key Requirements: Graduate Materials Engineer A recent degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a specialisation in metallurgy is essential. Additional qualifications or experience in material engineering (advantageous). A strong theoretical understanding of ferrous and corrosion-resistant alloys (CRA). Knowledge of chemical and mechanical properties, manufacturing processes of alloys for offshore, and subsea applications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
