Step Teachers are seeking an experienced PE Teacher located in Hoddesdon commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 10 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.
This school boasts a 'good' rating from Ofsted and operates with two classes per year. It places a high value on fostering the intellectual growth of students and staff.
Your duties as a PE Teacher:
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
* Encourage students to develop a lifelong passion for physical activity and health.
* Assess and monitor students’ progress, offering feedback to support improvement.
* Organize and lead extracurricular sports teams and activities.
* Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students.
* Maintain a safe and motivating environment for physical activities.
* Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate PE into the wider school curriculum.
To be considered for this PE Teacher position, you will:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Possess strong subject knowledge and experience as a PE Teacher for secondary school students.
* Exhibit a passion for sports and physical activity, with the ability to motivate students.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Be able to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to extracurricular activities.
