Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). CCU is a 22 bedded unit caring for patients experiencing acute cardiac emergencies and is a primary PCI centre admitting patients from all over Wessex and the Chanel Islands. It forms a part of the internationally renowned Wessex Cardiac Centre and many of the consultants covering the care of the CCU patients are both nationally and internationally renowned. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The main sub-specialties of admitted patients are: Interventional cardiology Heart failure Electrophysiology Cardiac imaging Congenital heart disease We are looking for a person with a positive proactive leadership style, a team player who is passionate about developing staff so they in turn deliver a high standard of patient care. You must have significant experience in a relevant speciality, with the aptitude and skill necessary to lead and motivate a team of nurses and allied health professionals, working closely with the MDT.
