Lead Electrical Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assume overall responsibility for the electrical requirements of assigned projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project execution.
2. Coordinate and assign tasks to Electrical Engineers, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
3. Collaborate closely with civil designers to ensure electrical equipment requirements are met within civil aspects.
4. Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with Utility providers and client owners' engineers.
5. Manage electrical and civil design logs from Utility providers and client owners' engineers.
6. Oversee the preparation and submission of design packs to Utility providers and client owners' engineers.
7. Develop procurement specifications for primary plant equipment, including HV power transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and NERs.
8. Review supplier documents and schematics to verify compliance with technical and functional specifications.
9. Approve physical HV layouts, electrical systems, secondary control and protection systems, and single-line diagrams.
10. Approve HV system studies, encompassing protection coordination, voltage regulation, load flow, and fault level reports.
11. Attend meetings with Utility providers and client owners' engineers as necessary.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
1. Honors Electrical Engineering Degree.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role with an HV contractor or utility.
3. Proficiency in design software, including ETAP, Eplan, and AutoCAD.
4. Strong people management skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship-building.
