A Health Care Assistant (HCA) role is the perfect starting point. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust has development pathways from HCA through to nursing degrees. Due to the nature of the ward and current workforce we are looking to recruit female staff only at this point. This is interesting, at times challenging, but very rewarding work. At Brooklands Hospital our patients have asked for nurses who: "will fight for them in MDT's to get the appropriate opportunities and support, that listen, that let them be involved in care planning and risk assessments, that have a good sense of humour and know what makes them happy. They would like nurses who are caring and talkto them and give them praise when they do well" Applicants will need a care certificate or level 3 award in care. If you do have care experience but no care certificate you will be expected to complete the care certificate within 12 weeks of commencing your post and will be paid a Band 2 until you have completed the care certificate. If you think this is you and you want to make that career start in the NHS then please come join us.
