* Nurse administrator
We are looking for highly motivated practice nurses to join our valued nursing team. We host nursing students and offer support for career progression and training.
Candidates must have:
* Previous experience in a Practice Nurse role.
* Competence in managing Asthma/COPD or willing to learn.
* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Punctual and reliable.
Main duties of the job
Duties of this role include:
* To work as an integral part of the nursing and Multi-disciplinary team, providing a high standard of patient centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.
* Support colleagues and senior staff to help promote good team morale, leading by example with one's own professional behaviour.
* Provide mentorship and supervision to both registered and unregistered members of the team as required.

We are a semi-rural GP Practice running over two sites (a mile apart). A very supportive team consisting of GP Partners, salaried GPs, retainer GPs, and a large nursing team. Our patient list size is 21,700 and growing due to housing developments. The Successful candidate will work alongside our friendly supportive team to deliver care to patients accessing primary care.
Job responsibilities
* Managing the nursing care of patients with chronic diseases.
* Assessing problems presented opportunistically by patients, dealing with minor illness.
* Ability to document consultations according to NMC guidelines.
* Ensure awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including systems of referral. Ability to recognise evidence of safeguarding issues and refer accordingly.
* Perform a holistic assessment of patients attending for cervical cytology tests.
* Perform venepuncture according to local guidelines if required.
* Provide a holistic approach to wound management and implement wound care in line with current evidence-based practice.
* Provide suture, clip, and staple removal.
* Take ECGs if required.
* Assist in the provision of childhood immunisations as outlined by national programmes and local guidelines.
* Support the annual influenza campaign in accordance with national guidance.
* Carry out health checks in conjunction with national, local, and practice initiatives.
* Be able to recognize and manage anaphylaxis according to current UK guidelines.
* Be able to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in accordance with current UK guidelines.
* Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained.
