The role: We are looking for an organised and friendly collaborator with a high attention to detail and a positive problem-solving approach; to support our student travel group flight booking process, this will include scheduling and coordinating flights, and working with airlines and suppliers to ensure we obtain the best rates possible. What you will be doing: Use all available systems but principally Amadeus to obtain the best flights and fares to meet the businesses requirements on an ad-hoc basis and with groups. Compare detailed airline net/negotiated/published fare contracts where available. Use expert fares knowledge to drive the lowest possible rate on itineraries seeking fare combinations, splitting itineraries where relevant. Co-ordinate the group booking process including obtaining best rates, holding space, time limits, release back, naming and ticketing. Offer help and advise airlines and routings to enable the planners to make the best decisions for the trip. Issuing and reissuing tickets for group, published and net fares. Processing any changes/cancellations - refunds to bookings as required. Resolve any errors and recover costs associated with ADMs. Manage daily queues within the GDS, ensuring all PNRs are actioned, and customers notified of any changes where applicable. Keep up to date with all work-related product and service updates. Produce and maintain sales records, spreadsheets and management information. What we are looking for: Strong experience of coordinating group bookings, and understanding of airfares and booking conditions specific to group contracts. An interest in travel or providing experiences for young people. Must have strong Global Distribution System (GDS) experience, preferably Amadeus. Excellent geographical and airline knowledge. Experience in flight ticketing, including reissues and refunds. First class interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and in writing. Organised and logical approach with the ability to prioritise under pressure to deadlines. High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills. Customer focused, driving to exceed customer expectations. Team player Attention to detail, with good administrative background.
