Our care provider is a family-owned nursing home that offers residential, dementia and nursing care for elderly residents. Following their most recent CQC inspection the home has been rated ‘GOOD’. Position: Healthcare Assistant As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client’s residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities: Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility. Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. Requirements: No requirement of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, but it would be beneficial. Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred. Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
