Contractor's Engineering Manager - London
Position: Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM)
Location: London
Rate: £650 per day Umbrella
Contract Duration: 08/12/2024 - 18/12/2025
Competence Requirements
The Contractor's Engineering Manager shall be:
1. An engineer from an appropriate discipline.
2. Have Professional Engineer status with the Engineering Council (UK), registered with an appropriate professional institution & assessed using form F0039, submitted to DPE for acceptance.
3. The supplier must have a mature competence management framework and appointment process.
4. Other auditable qualifications appropriate to the work may be acceptable subject to agreement with the DPE.
5. The CEM may also act as the CRE in a specific engineering discipline.
6. The candidate shall also be competent to Level 3 of SE2, SE5, SE11 and SE13 of the Engineering Management (Systems Engineering) competences.
Demonstrate their competence through interview and provision of objective evidence of technical competences and experience appropriate for the role; this shall be reviewed and accepted by the DPE where a Network Rail organisation undertakes design and/or construction phase activities. A member of staff appointed to undertake the duties of a CEM shall:
1. Have the skill, knowledge & experience needed to undertake the duties commensurate with the type and complexity of necessary tasks.
2. Be made aware of their responsibilities, necessary resources, and time to undertake their duties.
3. Understand and be able to judge when urgent or immediate action is necessary for safety reasons.
4. Have recorded their acceptance of the role using Form NR/L2/INI/02009/F0043.
