We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office. What will you be doing? As a Senior Package Buyer working within various Brownfield, HUC, Maintenance and Modification projects, you will become part of a large professional team and culture that works together to succeed. You will join a dedicated team of Buyers and support and drive forward the Aker Solutions procurement methods as you work with and collaborate with the multi discipline engineering function and supporting areas. Our SCM team provide commercial and contract expertise to ensure that goods and services are delivered in compliance with procedures and business policy. You will establish, maintain and follow-up strategies, budgets, inquiries and contracts for dedicated procurement packages and contribute to meeting the overall project plan. Interaction with suppliers and the global Aker SCM team, maintaining good and ethical supplier relations be part of the daily work Sourcing of suppliers and potential alternatives in accordance with relevant procurement procedures. Negotiating with suppliers. Lead negotiations on Purchase / Contract requirements and also on any contractual issues to ensure the best commercial terms for the Company are obtained. Manage assigned various SCM discipline packages. Support and expedite the establishment of manufacturing plans and inspection and test plans (ITP) for large expenditure items. Monitor such plans until completion of Purchase Order. Ensure component, standard cost and lead time are maintained within the SCM ERP systems. Supports and contributes to all applicable package plans, manages, and co-ordinates all associated SCM activities in the support of applicable projects. Maintains a primary interface with cross functional discipline team leads / other departments to ensure SCM and package management requirements are understood and action accordingly. Participates with estimating and planning to support project budget costs and timeline support and potential execution follow on work. Support establishing commercial input to Procurement Package Strategy Compiling commercial requirements for the Inquiry and Purchase Order Package Execution of commercial Pre-Order Activities Planning, execution and co-ordination of commercial Follow Up Activities Execution of commercial Change Control Activities Execution of commercial Close Out Activities Prepare necessary commercial Procurement Package input to project reporting in accordance with project routines for progress, schedule, cost, risk and opportunity input Attend Procurement Package Team Meetings and Procurement Group Lead Meetings. Prepare and perform status reporting on commercial actions and activities on assigned Procurement Packages Report to PR / Procurement Group Lead all matters of commercial importance Prepare commercial input and experience data from assigned Procurement Packages to project experience report Support any other Supply Chain Management requirements as and when required. Experience from oil & gas projects is an advantage, but you will be given training and all the tools you need to adapt, if required. Experience within project execution will come in handy, as well as being business and market oriented and adaptable to deliver project requirements or come up with solutions You value cooperation, communication and teamwork, are proactive and like to work in a structured way.
