Purpose of the Position
As the Operations Manager at Flame Hold, you will lead and oversee day-to-day operations while contributing to the company's long-term strategic vision. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive and productive company culture. You will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on management to ensure the continued success and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership: Manage all operational aspects of the business, ensuring seamless day-to-day execution.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review operational policies and procedures to optimise safety and efficiency.
* Team Development & Leadership: Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, train, and retain top talent.
* Foster a company culture centred on teamwork, excellence, and high morale.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including timely filing of necessary documents.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to fire-stopping services.
* Financial Oversight: Oversee budgeting, quoting, financial reporting, and auditing processes to maintain financial health and transparency.
* Work closely with management to track and improve profitability, cash flow, and cost efficiencies.
* Strategic Growth: Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to drive performance and growth.
* Build and maintain alliances with key stakeholders, suppliers, and external organisations.
* Communication: Act as a bridge between management and team members, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in operations management, leadership, and team management (preferably in a fire safety or construction-related industry).
* Strong understanding of financial principles, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards for fire-stopping services (desirable).
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
