Reference: c191fed0 We are currently recruiting for a female Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Chorley area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community. You will provide support with everyday tasks such as Cleaning, Laundry, and food preparation and supporting her to go out for various activities and for emotional support and companionship. Our client has many interests, but particularly enjoys visiting garden centres, shops and cafes. A car driver is preferred but not essential. Hours: 10 hours per week Working flexible hours between Monday and Friday, plus cover for annual leave and sickness hours. In return Salvere Support offers: A rate of pay £11.44 per hour. A DBS paid for by us. Full induction and ongoing support Bespoke clinical training sessions Additional pay for each online training course completed Overtime opportunities Pension Contributions All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current. Who we are looking for: You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with: Experience of providing companionship and supporting clients in the community Ability to support with domestic duties and food preparation. Ability to create a rapport and provide companionship for the individual. The ability to record clear and accurate notes A background in care would be advantageous. Due to the nature of a personal caring role and working in an individual’s home, sometimes alongside family members, Personal Assistants may be required to deal with difficult situations and/or challenging behaviour on occasions, which should be approached in a calm and professional manner You should also have: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness Please use the job reference SSL/AB/SS or your application form.
