We have an opportunity for a Junior BOM Coordinator within Motorsport to assist with the management of Bills of Material, inventory data, shop order processing and related stock management to ensure maximum efficiency across the business. This role will contribute to the operational Purchasing/Production teams to ensure that the sourcing of correct products for the timing required is achieved in line with the business plan and stock requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create all inventory data as required for all inventory parts, ensuring correct part creation in relation to how the business will manage the item (make / buy).
2. Create detailed Bills Of Material for all projects to suit Purchasing and Production requirements, to include routing information as required.
3. Load and maintain material requirements (shop orders) in line with any project production demands.
4. Review all “Planning” BOMs to ensure material is being scheduled in line with build area requirements to enable maximum purchasing window to effect best purchase price and reduce costs in late supply.
5. Action engineering releases and circulate information to relevant areas, ensuring all related action is completed in regard to stock and purchasing position.
6. Assist in analysis/development of stock control systems in conjunction with management and outside consultants being used by the company.
7. Develop awareness within Prodrive’s engineering/purchasing/production and operating groups of potential to improve supply chain through improved detail planning.
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience within or knowledge of inventory, Bills of Materials or planning and scheduling and be IT literate, particularly with MS Excel. You will ideally have a good understanding of car component manufacturing and basic engineering processes and information, and be an excellent organiser and planner.
