The Opportunity
Arup's Integrated City Planning Team delivers an integrated approach and sustainable solutions to the design of cities and complex urban environments. We are a collaborative team of urban designers, architects, landscape architects, economists, planners, and sustainability experts working collaboratively with our clients to shape, justify, design, consent and deliver transformative projects. Within ICP, The MPUD team design cities and places: influencing and shaping the physical, social, and economic infrastructures that power sustainable development. We are a diverse and experienced team of eighteen architects, masterplanners and urban designers committed to delivering sustainable development.
We are looking for Urban Designers to join our growing London team. Successful candidates will contribute to a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects, working alongside our passionate and highly skilled team, as well as the broader expertise of Arup and our partners. Our current work spans a range of scales and sectors, including strategic growth plans, masterplanning around infrastructure investment, and the regeneration of complex urban sites.
Is this role right for you?
If you are an experienced Urban Designer with an ability to develop and refine design concepts, we want to hear from you! We are looking for candidates who are familiar with presentations and the ability to take your experience and put that into graphic communications and visualisations.
Requirements:
* Degree level qualification in Architecture with RIBA Part 2 or equivalent.
* An ability to develop and refine design concepts, working both collaboratively and autonomously.
* 3D modelling skills and competency in Rhino and visual communication.
* CAD skills (AutoCAD), 3D modelling (Rhino) and GIS and expertise in Adobe Suite.
