Summary A fantastic opportunity for a 12 month fixed term appointment to work with our Urban and Innovation and Partnership teams to take forward projects across the South of England. The initial focus will be progressing feasibility for the Great Yarmouth Winter Gardens opportunity, however, if this project should not progress then other opportunities across the South of England aligned to our urban strategy. You will be part of the National Trust’s urban team who have a role to improve access to nature, history and beauty for residents in towns and cities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The team also have an exciting remit to think differently about how the National Trust can deliver its charitable purpose through news ways of working and delivery. Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You’ll report into the Head of Urban and work closely with local operations and the consultancy teams in region. You will lead on all elements of early project feasibility working to highly engaged project boards and supported by an internal consultancy and specialist network within the National Trust. You’ll be required to oversee the development of viable business models and a compelling business cases. You’ll be required to obtain external and internal professional consultancy services to support development of the project through competitive tender processes and consultant frameworks. A key aspect of this project is engaging and building relationships with stakeholders and you must be really comfortable working in a matrix environment deploying your considerable influencing skills. You’ll be required to compile and manage the submission of proposals to external procurement tender frameworks and be required to work in an environment with a level of ambiguity. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you're: •able to demonstrate experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading procurement securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes •a Professional with technical knowledge and skills in project management demonstrated by a recognised project (AMP PMQ/Prince) or programme management (MSP) qualification •you're a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions with senior leaders •a skilled communicator, with experience of managing complex and challenging situations with competing interests and a diverse range of people •a leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture •experience of external tender submissions and early businesses cases for new visitor operations The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
