About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services
A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.
Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. About the Job
Welcome to our new supported accommodation, located in Bishop Auckland. This is a new service; a five-bedded supported accommodation for women. Teesdale House will provide accommodation for five individuals with a range of complex needs, providing intensive support to women experiencing multiple exclusions, as well as providing specialist support to those most in need. As a Senior Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to join our passionate team of 6 members, which includes a dedicated group of support workers.
The primary ambition of our services is to support people into their own homes, equipping them with the skillset and resilience to sustain their tenancies and work towards their aspirations. Our risk management expertise and person-centred support planning allows us to support people into the right accommodation at the right time, maintaining long-term engagement, and accelerating their pathway to independence.
We are committed to delivering high-quality support, and we welcome your expertise and dedication to help us continue making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. You will be given training on all aspects of the role as well as taking part in regular reflective practice and case management reviews with the whole team.
Our project operates on a 24-hour shift schedule; therefore, your commitment and flexibility are essential as shift times may vary to ensure uninterrupted support.
