Job Description
Chubb now has an opportunity for a IT Technical Engineer Manager in Blackburn, working on a hybrid basis. The main goal of this role is to manage the development and delivery of exceptional products to our customers and develop and maintain the Chubb Community Care software solutions, ensuring customers
As the manager you will be consulting with department heads and end-users to further infrastructure development. Developing and executing test plans to check technical performance of infrastructure and report findings. Based on findings, make recommendations for improvement. Developing policies for standardizing systems and manage all aspects of Software & Tech Support Team.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Software development & Technical Support teams.
Lead the creation of technical specifications for new product solutions.
Lead and improve the Chubb Community Care software coding methodology and improve any internal standards.
Lead new system integration development projects and the maintenance of existing software products and solutions for the community care business.
Improve quality control and working procedures, using the software control environments Jira software development tracking system and TortoiseSVN version control or better.
Assist with the provision of tender documentation responses, including compliance, statements, design overviews, development costs and time scales.
Qualifications
Qualifications/ Experience:
Proven ability to manage the development process of large-scale Telecare Based software & Integration projects throughout the whole software development life cycle, from requirement gathering to deployment.
Proven track record managing FAT and SAT activities proving compliance with specifications to satisfaction of clients.
Experience in IP Networking, VoIP solutions, .Net, Windows services, SIP, AWS, Azure, Router technology and firewalls, Wireshark debugging, html, CSS, JS
Experience in the Alarm and Telecare industries would be an advantage.
Knowledge:
Broad technical knowledge of application architecture, system architecture, application integration, relational databases, and object-oriented languages.
Object Orientated Languages: Visual Studio, C#, Java
Relational Databases: Firebird, SQL server (SQL language)
Operating Systems: Windows, Android, iOS
