Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our established senior team. Supporting the Labour Ward Coordinators on the night shifts to ensure safety across the unit. The post holder will be a clearly identifiable senior clinical member of the Midwifery team. They will have significant clinical experience, provide sound clinical expertise to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, and compassionate evidence based care. They will work closely with others to ensure that care delivery takes place in a suitable and safe environment to support the physical and psychological wellbeing of staff, women, birthing people and families. Main duties of the job Participate in Senior Midwife unit on call rota / bleep holder on nights. To ensure that working conditions are safe in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act. Assist with departmental risk assessment, COSHH and other health and safety issues and ensure safe practice with regard to manual handling, safer sharps, infection prevention and control etc. Support the management of vulnerable adults, young people and children; safeguarding and deprivation of liberty issues, in consultation with the wider MDT. To facilitate "hot" debrief sessions for staff where necessary as a supportive function following a clinical incident.
