About The Role
As an Insights Analyst, you will collect, analyse, and interpret data to enhance GÉANT’s understanding of its services, partnerships, and the broader research and education community. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to challenge assumptions, using critical thinking to assess the relevance and impact of information.
Working in a collaborative environment, you’ll ensure that stakeholder voices are integrated into GÉANT’s work by delivering regular intelligence outputs, including KPI tracking, analytical reports, landscape trend analysis, the Satisfaction Survey, and project insights.
What You’ll Do
* Gather and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from stakeholders, service users, and external datasets, ensuring its relevance to organisational goals.
* Prepare and present well-contextualised reports that highlight key insights and their implications to the executive team.
* Responsible for the data analysis and preparation of the compendium report: Compendium Report
* Develop and implement evaluation tools, such as surveys, observation guides, and interview schedules, using platforms like SurveyMonkey or Qualtrics.
* Translate insights into clear, compelling material tailored for executives, ensuring reports highlight key implications and actionable recommendations.
* Conduct research and sector analysis, including literature reviews, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for GÉANT’s services and strategies.
* Lead engagement activities such as interviews, focus groups, and site visits to capture diverse stakeholder perspectives.
* Collaborate with internal teams to integrate insights into service improvement and strategic planning.
About You
What You’ll Bring You’ll bring a strong foundation in research and insights, with a proven ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments with an expertise in gathering and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data. A natural problem-solver, you’ll be adept at analysing focused and topic-specific information to identify trends and opportunities. With excellent communication and collaboration skills, you’ll engage actively with stakeholders at all levels, embedding their perspectives into your work.
Key Skills and Qualities:
* Technical skills in data analysis and visualisation with an ability to question data quality and assess its relevance.
* Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Excel, and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey).
* Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Creatio or MS Dynamics) and data governance best practices.
* Confident in designing and implementing research tools such as surveys and focus group protocols.
* A critical thinker who is comfortable working with incomplete or ambiguous datasets, ensuring insights are well-grounded and actionable.
* Proven experience in creating, organising and maintaining databases and incorporating third-party data to enhance findings.
* Whilst a degree in social sciences, public policy, or a related field is beneficial, we welcome candidates who can demonstrate the required skills and experience.
Working Arrangements
GÉANT supports hybrid working arrangements, with two days per week in the Cambridge or Amsterdam office and occasional travel within Europe.
