Ocean Housing has an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of supporting an organisation with their zero tolerance approach to damp and mould and disrepair in properties. The Property Condition and Disrepair Co-ordinator (as it is known internally) will work under the guidance of the Senior Property Services Manager (Assets and Energy Efficiency) to assist in delivering and coordinating the service. Responsibilities will include: Undertake surveys where there is or has been a complaint of damp and mould or disrepair and make recommendations for appropriate remedial works Be the first point of contact where problems and issues arise and take responsibility to resolve them with operational staff Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining KPI's that reflect Tenants needs, Value for Money or that are required by the Homes and Communities Agency and industry best practice standards To assist with the programming of works and be able to allocate resources to conflicting priorities to maintain a high level of performance across the organisation You will have experience of carrying out building surveys in tenants homes and have the knowledge and experience to identify remediating causes of damp and mould within properties. You will have experience of coordinating internal and external contractors to ensure works are carried out and have an understanding of current disrepair legislation. You will need to be educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent Level 3 qualification and you must have a HNC in Building Construction or equivalent. A Diploma in surveying practice and a qualification in domestic energy assessor is desirable and not essential. For further information please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification.
