An opportunity has arisen in the Health Records Team at Weston General Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our busy health records department. The hours are Monday to Friday, between 08.30 and 17.30, and negotiable dependent on service demand.
This role is not entirely office based and is quite physical as the role requires handling large volumes of patient health records as well as retrieving and delivering patient casenotes across the hospital.
Currently, we work with an all-paper patient record; however, the successful candidate will be working with the team to transition to an electronic patient record.
Previous clerical experience and knowledge of filing systems is essential. Your application will detail how you are an organised team player who can also work independently. This role requires you to self-manage in a team environment and work to daily deadlines.
This is a demanding and physical but rewarding role offering a vital service to the Trust. If you think you fit this role, we look forward to your application.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities, and in particular those that are currently underrepresented in our workforce. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority candidates, candidates with disabilities, and female candidates.
To ensure the patient notes are available where they are needed to support patient care, the post holder will be responsible for retrieving case notes, which may be stored in the library or other locations within the hospital/trust. Responsibilities include collating, organising, scanning, and quality checking case notes in readiness for future outpatient attendances and inpatient stays. The images will then form part of the patients' Electronic Patient Record.
