About the Role: As an SEMH Physical Education Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges. Promote the importance of physical activity, teamwork, and personal development through sport and fitness. Use innovative approaches to engage students and build their confidence and self-esteem. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Develop and implement strategies to manage behavior effectively, encouraging positive engagement in all aspects of school life. Contribute to whole-school initiatives aimed at improving the well-being and outcomes of students with SEN and SEMH needs. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Physical Education. Experience working with students with SEMH needs or similar challenges. A genuine passion for supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving success. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. A flexible, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching. Knowledge of strategies for managing challenging behavior and promoting positive mental health.
