We are pleased to share an opportunity to join Flagship Group’s Procurement Team, as an Assistant Procurement Officer. The role is a 12 month, fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week: Monday to Friday.
This role is working from our King Street office, in Norwich. The role comes with Agile Working and Flexible Working will be considered.
In this job role as an Assistant Procurement Officer, you will proactively assist Flagship Housing Group's procurement activities, supporting compliance with UK Government Regulations including Regulator of Social Housing standards; guiding and supporting all areas of the business on spend activity ensuring we are spending money wisely.
In addition, you will provide administrative support to the team, including monitoring the Procurement email inbox and resolving queries effectively. Preparing documentation including selection questionnaire, tender invitations & Contract Notices for publication on e-notification portals and contract documentation and take ownership of the e-tendering portal system and champion its usage with Flagship Group.
You’ll assist and advise in the tender evaluation process, commercial terms, supplier relationship and contract negotiation providing outstanding customer services to both internal and external customers.
Applications are welcomed for the role of Assistant Procurement Officer from those with previous Procurement experience including supporting tenders, drafting documentation and providing administrative support. You’ll have proven organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy. A team player but with the ability to work with minimum supervision using my own initiative and take responsibility for the consequences of decisions, constantly seeking to do things better. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade with compelling arguments for improved business performance. You’ll have demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, utilising information about customer's needs as a basis for my decision making.
Educated to a minimum of 5 GCSE passes or equivalent including Mathematics and also to A Level standard, or equivalent. You’ll have a professional procurement qualification or are willing to work towards this and in MS Office packages including Excel, Word & Teams.
