A look into the role
Henderson Group Property provide a specialised service that covers acquisition, design, development and project management of our property portfolio. We are market leaders in retail store development; constantly upgrading, developing new sites, and constructing within our store estate.
Working as an Architectural/CAD Technician, you will join an award-winning creative team of eight specialists, assisting in the delivery of schemes on and off site, as we continue to expand and invest in our multi-million-pound programme of works.
This position will be suited to a candidate who wants to establish and develop their Design career within one of Northern Ireland's leading property developers.
As an Architectural/CAD Technician, you will:
1. Prepare precise high-quality drawings for internal & external store layouts based on designs/briefings provided by Senior Team members.
2. Work beside other Team Members to provide sketch designs in support of the preparation of feasibility studies for new build and capital projects including major and minor works.
3. Carry out necessary surveys as required and produce high quality accurate drawings.
Skills for Success
Joining us as an Architectural/CAD Technician, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
1. Minimum Foundation Degree or Higher in a Construction or Engineering related subject.
2. Demonstrable experience using AutoCAD.
3. Experience of preparing precise high-quality drawings.
4. Full, current UK Driving license, with access to own vehicle.

2. Attention to detail: A sharp eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work.
3. Sound technical background and the ability to think creatively.
4. Problem-Solving: A knack for understanding, solving, and presenting solutions to Design and CAD-related challenges.
5. Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage workload effectively.
6. Team Player: Strong teamwork skills, as you'll collaborate with other team members & stakeholders on various projects.
It is desirable if you had:
Experience working in a Construction related Design Team.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
