This is a full-time post. The post holder will primarily work in intensive care, providing daytime and night time cover in the ICU. Also, during their non-on call period, they would take part in theatre sessions, providing anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgery.
There is a dedicated 24-hour consultant cover with immediate daytime and distant night time supervision. The post-holder will be part of the in-hospital cardiac arrest and trauma team. It will also provide an opportunity to gain anaesthetic experience in multiple surgical specialties, including general surgery, colorectal, orthopaedics and trauma, gynaecology, and ENT.
Main duties of the job

Overseas senior-trained doctors are welcome to apply, provided they meet the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the person specification.
Applicants should have at least 3 years of previous anaesthetic training and the FRCA Primary or equivalent. Opportunities for study leave and participation in departmental education and quality improvement projects will also be encouraged.
