Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 2 – East Harptree Nursery Pre School and Forest School
The Aspire Training Team are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual as an apprentice to complete their Level 2 Childcare qualification with East Harptree Nursery Pre School and Forest School.
We provide a haven for children from six months to five years. We are more than just a nursery; we're a registered charity dedicated to providing year-round care and term-time only places, ensuring that every child's experience is a joy of learning in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our newly renovated space was meticulously designed with children in mind, featuring underfloor heating and bright coloured child-accessible areas.
We have 3 distinct rooms catering to different age groups: babies under 2, toddlers 2- to 3-year-olds, and preschool three- to four-year-olds.
Our outdoor play area exclusively for children includes a covered space ensuring all-year-round usability. Additionally, our preschool children have the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature during our Friday Morin Forest school sessions in the picturesque grounds of Harptree Court.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
2. Deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
3. Have a clear understanding of our duty to safeguard children and adhere to the Nursery’s policies and procedures.
4. Be involved in the planning of the day’s activities.
5. Assist with all aspects of the children’s daily care routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and play sessions.
6. The role will develop and grow as you gain more experience, where you will be allocated a small number of key children.
Requirements:
1. You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
2. GCSEs A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent (e.g., functional skills).
Hours:
1. East Harptree Nursery Pre School and Forest School are open from 8.00 am – 6.00 pm, Monday – Friday.
2. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 30-40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
