As a Management Accountant, you will prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and variance analysis, as well as perform bank reconciliations, VAT returns, sales reporting and analysis, annual audit/tax pack requirements, and other ad-hoc finance tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare month-end journals and analyze P&L accounts.
* Compile Monthly Reporting Packs (MRP) with commentary on key variances.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and raise concerns.
* Perform daily sales and bank reconciliations.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Complete quarterly VAT returns.
* Reconcile intercompany accounts.
* Follow Standard Operating Processes (SOPs).
* Assist with purchase ledger as required.
* Monitor debtors ledger and escalate issues.
* Assist with annual/biannual stock takes.
* Allocate cash receipts on cashier accounts.
* Complete ‘Office for National Statistics’ questionnaires.
* Conduct sales reporting and analysis.
* Contribute to annual business planning.
* Support year-end audits and external Finance consultants.
Requirements:
1. Minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
2. ACCA/CIMA (part qualified).
