Job summary
This SHO post is part of a 12 (twelve) people SHO team who work on a 12 weeks rotation schedule throughout various clinical activities such as ward cover, on call days and nights, trauma and other. At present this post does not have educational approval, as there is a national moratorium on SHO numbers. It is however a position in accordance with recent college guidelines on extending the length of basic surgical training to three years. It will be most suited to a trainee who is working towards obtaining BST and MRCS and also needs more overall surgical/orthopaedic experience before applying for a research or registrar position.
