Job title: Senior Flight Systems Engineer/Group Leader/Technical Lead – Crew Systems

Salary: £54,793+ depending on skills and experience.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Act as a Technical Lead for Crew Systems, with the objective to develop into the SME reporting to the technical authority.
2. Plan, coordinate, manage, support, and assist in the execution of System and Equipment qualification activities.
3. Be responsible for the coordination and management of all activities on Crew Systems and the team members performing those activities.
4. Ensure the system documentation is maintained current, accurate, consistent, complete, and readily available, stored in the designated toolset/location.
5. Take responsibility for the career development of all team members, including the application of Personal Performance Review processes.
6. Develop and supply technical expertise in the engineering specification, development, clearance, and support of Crew Systems.
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of Flight Systems, Typhoon, Hawk, F-35, and/or Tornado product and processes would be an advantage.
* Experience in a Systems Engineering role(s), with exposure to interaction with external agencies, suppliers, supply chain management, or team leadership.
* Experience in designing, developing, and supporting engineering products would be an advantage.

The Flight Systems, Crew Systems team:
The team has extensive experience working on projects within the Air Sector (e.g., Typhoon, Hawk, T45, Harrier, Tornado, Mantis, Tempest, F-35) and Maritime Sector (e.g., Dreadnought). We offer opportunities for mechanical engineers in a demanding environment with tasks covering various aircraft systems throughout the engineering lifecycle. Join us to work alongside other functions to deliver products in service for 40+ years, with ongoing upgrades to maintain Customer Air Defence capabilities.
You will lead a team of engineers, developing specialized knowledge and technical expertise in Crew Systems, resolving system and equipment issues.
