Salary: Starting Salary is £33,945 (Level one) rising to £36,648 'pro rata' for part time.

About the Role
This opportunity will involve working across the city to help deliver practical conservation tasks, utilising volunteers, staff and business partners to help deliver improvements to Parks, Green Spaces and wildlife sites.
Providing day to day coordination of the Nottingham Green Guardians volunteer programme for Nottingham's parks and open spaces and wider public realm, ensuring that volunteers are safe and well supported, whilst helping to develop the range of volunteer opportunities available. To provide coordination to the council's tree planting targets ensuring the right tree, right place approach is adopted.
Supporting the wider team you will be able to contribute to management plans, Health & Safety obligations and site inspections, whilst also delivering events, activities, and actively engaging in communication channels such as social media to publicise the service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Knowledge and experience of managing volunteers including promotion, recruitment and retention.
* Knowledge and experience of organising successful volunteer activities and events.
* Ability to project manage tree planting activities and work with colleagues and external partners to achieve this goal.
* Experience in applying for funding and providing evidence to release the funds.
* Ability to organise and deliver training to volunteers and to colleagues.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
