JOTA Composites are currently looking for a full-time QHSE Manager to oversee and coordinate Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) programs. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards while promoting continuous improvement across all areas within an advanced engineering environment. The ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism is crucial to this role.
Job Description
Quality
1. Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System, policy and procedures;
2. Ensure the continuous improvement business model is achieved, including the development of supporting Standards and Procedures and maintenance of all related documentation;
3. Report to top management on the performance of the Quality management system and areas for improvement;
4. Promote and create awareness for compliance of customer Quality requirements, regulatory and industry requirements, and internal company guidelines throughout the organisation;
5. Manage Quality objectives, targets, aspects and programs;
6. Update/control/maintain Quality related documents and records;
7. Annually review the Quality Management System through internal audit process;
8. Schedule and manage all audits, coordinate with all Departments and as required (i.e. ISO 9001 etc.). Analyse and interpret audit results and introduce and control resulting actions required;
9. Conduct Quality related orientations and trainings to all level employees;
10. Strive to instill and continually improve Quality assurance mindset within the company culture.
Health, Safety & Environment
1. Develop, implement and maintain HSE Management System to ensure the continuous improvement business model is achieved, including the development of supporting Standards and Procedures;
2. Report to management on the performance of the HSE management system and any need for improvement;
3. Promote and create awareness for compliance of customer HSE requirements, regulatory and industry requirements, and internal company guidelines;
4. Manage HSE objectives, targets, aspects and programs across all business areas;
5. Update/control/maintain QHSE documents and records;
6. Develop an annual business plan to ensure the HSE Management System meets business and legislated requirements;
7. Schedule and manage all audits and coordinate with all Departments as required;
8. Analyse and interpret audit results and introduce and control resulting actions required;
9. Identify PPE requirements across business areas and maintain inventories;
10. Maintain Safety KPIs;
11. Maintain relationships with relevant external partnerships related to workplace health, safety and environment;
12. Review near misses, incidents, investigation, reporting, communication of lessons learned and supporting the follow-up;
13. Conduct HSE orientations and trainings to all level employees (new hires and existing as applicable), including orientations specific to each business area;
14. Strive to instill and continually improve HSE mindset within the company culture.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
1. A minimum of 3 years directly related Quality Management and Health, Safety & Environment Management within a manufacturing engineering environment is required;
2. Experience related to managing all aspects related to QHSE across business areas (including office, manufacturing/production facility, maintenance workshop) is required;
3. Advanced knowledge of HSE Auditing Quality Management Systems Auditing and Internal Auditor desired. Designations (ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001);
4. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal;
5. Proven ability to influence and motivate employees, management and contractors to meet the company QHSE goals;
6. Strong organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and changes with professionalism;
7. Adapt to frequently changing schedules and tight timelines;
8. Excellent internal and external customer relations skills;
9. Work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast-paced, customer service driven team environment;
10. Superior organisation and time management skills;
11. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;
12. Leads by example, demonstrates a positive QHSE attitude.
