Job Description
Working as part of a small team, the candidate will be the key member of the production line. Manual handling is a key part of the job which requires someone fit and able to lift finished products repeatedly during the day.
Responsibilities include unloading vehicles and preparing raw materials for the initial production stage while following all health and safety regulations. Management of warehouse space for finished goods and preparing orders for dispatch will also be a key responsibility. Good housekeeping is essential, a company ethos shared by the whole team.
Responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and organise materials within the production facility.
* Manual handling of 18kg bales of product and stacking on pallets.
* Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
* Run product through machines to divide, pack, and dispatch.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift and machinery and report any issues to the supervisor.
* Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
* General domestic duties.
* Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, supporting a collaborative team effort.
* Operate production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
* Monitor production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
* Document production data and report any issues or discrepancies.
Requirements:
* Valid and up-to-date FLT license C/B.
* Proven experience as an FLT driver with a track record of safe and efficient operation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
* Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
* Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
* Flexibility to work full-time hours, including occasional overtime as required.

Experience:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
* Familiarity with operating production equipment and tools.
