Candidate Profile
Experience:
* Previous experience of food service in a similar style of operation preferred but not essential.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
* Innovative.
* Pro-active and reliable.
* Able to work alone and within a team.
* Flexible hours in line with business needs.
* Must be well presented and have excellent personal hygiene.
Education or Certification:
* Good level of English essential
* Basic Food Hygiene Certified
Specific Duties
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions, critical to the successful performance of the position:
* Ensure that you have full product knowledge of all menu items and their service to ensure customer satisfaction.
* To maintain a high standard of service within food and beverage/conference events at all times as laid down within the company service standards.
* To promote sales and achieve maximum sales potential for both food and beverages.
* Clear and lay tables throughout and after service. Ensure that the still room and service areas are clean and tidy at all times.
* Deal with customer queries and try to resolve immediately. Making full use of the Guest Satisfaction Procedures.
* To communicate with others in the department to ensure excellent customer relations.
* To ensure that service to guests is of a prompt and efficient manner in line with company standards.
* To play an active part in company training and the culture of the company.
* To adhere to the company Uniform Standards at all times.
* Follow all Health and Safety Procedures.
* All company policies on Cash, Key and all Controls are adhered to and followed consistently.
Other
* Performs other related task as assigned by Management.
* Complies with The Forest of Arden Hotel policies and procedures.
* Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
