Are you a skilled MET Technician ready for a new opportunity with a growing leader in automotive repair? Steer Automotive Group is expanding, and we’re excited to welcome a talented MET Technician to our team at the Darlington bodyshop.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician at Steer Darlington, you’ll play a key role in restoring vehicles to top condition. Working on a variety of makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles, your responsibilities will include:
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and trim components
* Dismantling and reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition
* Conducting inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostics
* Ordering and managing parts to meet repair specifications
* Collaborating with team members to complete repairs on time and to high standards
* Ensuring safety and quality compliance across all tasks
About You:
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced MET Technician with:
* A strong background in accident repair, ideally with experience on electric and hybrid vehicles
* Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Proven skills in managing workload to meet deadlines and quality standards
* Excellent communication skills, able to work independently or as part of a team
* Relevant ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair, with a willingness to renew or update skills as needed
* A commitment to Health & Safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
