BSL Teaching Assistant – Oxford
Level 2 - SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School
Salary: £83 - £90 per day dependent on experience
There is an exciting opportunity to secure a 1-year contract at an ‘Outstanding’ two-form entry Mainstream Primary School based in Oxford. This is a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant opportunity to work with a child in a Year 4 class who is deaf. The position requires someone with BSL Level 2 training, and experience in a similar role would be ideal. The role in Oxford is available to start in September.
The Primary school would ideally like to meet candidates who have a degree and some experience working with Special Educational Needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia). This role will entail a variety of responsibilities and will offer excellent experience for the teaching assistant appointed. Minimum standards will include Maths and English at GCSE graded C or above.
You will be working on a 1:1 basis with this hearing-impaired child.
Key Requirements:
1. BSL Level 2 Required
2. Experience with SEND is required
3. 1-year contract
4. September start
The Primary school in Oxford is looking for teaching assistants who are energetic and passionate about their input into a child’s education. The teaching assistant will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within KS1 and KS2, ensuring each child is fulfilling the learning objectives for each lesson.
