Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Mid Cornwall - South West
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Annually
Hours: 40 hour week

My client is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company who delivers projects across a range of sectors including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water and environment. They are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. You will be required to manage the Company's resources to achieve a successful outcome, technically, commercially, safely, and to the Client's satisfaction on the project.
The Role:
1. Manage the Mechanical Package in line with the project and oversee resources on a day-to-day basis.
2. Report any staff issues as appropriate.
3. Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting whilst identifying the client's requirements and ensuring they are delivered to the clients’ satisfaction.
4. Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
5. Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
6. Communicate with the project team regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
7. Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
The Requirements:
1. Experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or similar for the last 5 years.
2. Experience managing a project team to reach completion within budget and on schedule.
3. Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification and manage procurement, labour, and sub-contractors, controlling contract costs and variations.
4. Experience coordinating M&E Services installations.
5. Experience in the compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
6. Experience managing contract values ranging from £2m and above.
7. BTEC: HNC Building Services.
8. BTEC: ONC Building Services.
9. IOSH directing safely - desirable.
10. CSCS card.
11. SMSTS – desirable.
