About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cover Teacher to join a well-established primary school in Barnet, London, on a long-term basis. This role will start in January 2025 and run through the term, with the option of extending further.
You will work Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays, providing cover for teachers across Key Stage 1. This flexible role is perfect for those seeking work-life balance while making an impactful contribution to the school's success. As this is a long-term assignment, you may be given additional responsibilities, such as supporting with specific areas of planning and adapting lesson delivery to suit your teaching style. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with the school's permanent teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of lessons and pupil progress. Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching in primary schools, ideally within Key Stage 1.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
• Passion for supporting students’ academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality cover for absent teachers across Key Stage 1.
• Deliver lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and adapt as necessary to meet the needs of all students.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure continuity in learning and progress.
• Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Support students with varying needs, including SEND, to ensure every child reaches their potential.
• Assist with planning and preparation where required.
