We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to support staff in the education, supervision and care of the children in Troedyrhiw Community Primary School. The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, be confident, reliable and flexible. Candidates should be able to work as part of a team under the guidance and direction of the Leader and Manager to:
* Support class teachers as required
* Deliver interventions to individuals or small groups
* Play a key role in raising standards, through the quality of own teaching and own professional development
* Supervise whole classes occasionally to cover short term absence
* Fulfill the duties of a learning support assistant across the primary phase
* Support pupils with additional learning needs including intimate care when necessary.
The candidate will be required to support pupils in the Foundation Phase primarily, although may be expected to support pupils in Key Stage 2. Roles will include implementing specific learning programmes, supporting class teachers to promote high standards, contributing to planning and developing stimulating learning environments. Candidates will also be expected to maintain records and produce reports. Troedyrhiw Community Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Young People. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a thorough vetting process including an enhanced DBS check.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
