Role:
This is an opportunity to come and join us in the role of Fostering and Office Administrator based in our St. Johns Road hub. A dual-role position that provides essential administrative support to both the fostering team and the general office operations. This role ensures the smooth functioning of the fostering service while also assisting with broader administrative tasks across the organisation. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing a diverse range of responsibilities. The role will suit a dynamic and dedicated individual who will be required to fulfil several operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Trust.
The post-holder will work to support the Fostering Manager in all aspects of fostering administration, as well as taking on other administrative duties to support the needs of the management team and Board of Governors, which in turn will help the wider staff team support the children, young people, and families supported by the Trust in our residential houses, community flats, fostering service, and in the wider community.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
2. Is efficient and accurate in clerical and administrative office duties
3. Has previous experience and proficiency in taking minutes
4. Has the ability to prioritise workload and complete tasks in a timely manner
5. Has proficiency in both written and spoken English
6. Is personable, articulate, and efficient when communicating on the phone or face to face
7. Has strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
8. Is reliable and has good time management
9. Is flexible and has a willingness to undertake other duties
10. Has evidence of training/development undertaken and a willingness to undertake training/development in future
11. Has well-developed interpersonal skills, working well independently and as part of a small team, and collaborating well with colleagues.

Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
The minimum educational requirement for this post is National 5 level qualification (SCQF Level 5) or equivalent in a relevant subject.
