Westmorland and Furness Health and Wellbeing Team is looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader that can demonstrate extensive experience of implementing health and wellbeing initiatives, supporting and developing a team who provide health coaching and behavioural change interventions covering the Barrow in Furness and Ulverston area.
The Health and Wellbeing Team is part of the Public Health Team. The Public Health team in Westmorland and Furness Council is responsible for supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community through the provision of services and partnership working to ensure health is at the heart of all polices.
The Health and Wellbeing Team consists of Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Smoking Cessation Officers. Their role is to provide effective health coaching and behavioural change support that improves the overall wellbeing of the people supported by the team. The team leader provides operational management, works across the health and social care system to develop effective partnerships to ensure that effective collaboration is developed and maintained.
Your role will be to provide effective, responsive and flexible leadership support to the Health and Wellbeing Team. You will ensure that the team delivers outcomes that are aligned to the Public Health priorities and the wider priorities set out by Westmorland and Furness Council.
